This series of drawings was completed between 2022-2023 in Dumbo, BK. Each piece is an independent search, each origin # is a shape that is stretched, erased and searched for. Drawings eg. 1 and 1-2 represents an iternation from the corresponding origin shape. Materials used included; charcoal, soft pastel, pencil and acrylic on paper. *Drawing Statement: I invent systems, through which an image is engendered and exposed. I am attentive to the sensorial experience of color and shapes, and curious if these non-verbal notations have the capacity to transform our visceral perceptions of time and place? An emotional ideogram is revealed through intuitive movements and reductive action. When confronted with, this geometric landscape invokes connection with a gestural language, that is invited to be examined by our primordial being — to misuse, misinterpret and make contact with. Each shapes the space, within and surrounding, probing our experience of and implications with, reality.
